Celebrating the Start of the Season with Kansas City Chiefs Outdoor Gear

The Fall season is upon us, which means football has started across the country. For those of us who love the Kansas City Chiefs, that also means it's time to get that outdoor gear into our yards. Most football fans like to show their team support. With outdoor stuff, it's easy to show the neighbors and friends that you support the Kansas City Chiefs.

Make Your Yard a Chiefs Support Yard

There are many ways to display your support of the Kansas City Chiefs. Here are just a few of my favorites.
  • Yard flags - waving in the breeze they attract attention
  • Door mats - a welcoming announcement to all your guests
  • Grill cover - leave this one on until you are ready to fire up the grill
  • Garden gnome - a touch of whimsy to show your support
You can probably come up with plenty more ideas or unique ways to use outdoor stuff to show your support. Any way you choose will help bring the Super Bowl rings to Kansas City this year.

Show Off Your Chiefs Outdoor Gear with a Football Party

The Chiefs are starting off well this year, so why not ask a few friends or neighbors over for a football party? You can use this as an excuse to show off your latest Kansas City Chiefs outdoor gear. But you can have also have a great time cheering on your favorite team. And it's always better with other fans helping your cheer.

A football party can be as simple or elaborate as you want. Which works the same way with your supporting outdoor stuff. Make your whole yard a display of Chiefs support, or just add a few items to show your party guests who you're supporting this year.  That may make the difference between a win or a loss.

Serving Dishes for Football Parties

Football fans love football parties. That's just one of those facts of life. And a good one as far as I'm concerned. I love both football games and parties with that sports theme.

Because I do have a Super Bowl party every year, as well as numerous parties during the season, I have a nice collection of football party serving dishes. And I love those, too. Sometimes, it's just snacks for a Sunday afternoon of watching pro football on TV. Other times, it's a great tailgate party for the big game.

My football serving dishes are part of every party I have. Chip and dip sets that look like a football stadium are fun to use for many different types of foods. Everything from hot wings to veggie platters.

I can serve a fresh round of drinks on football trays and set up small bowls of pretzels, nuts and chips around the room. When I do a big buffet table for my Super Bowl party, I always set up my table with plenty of fun football serving dishes.

My niece is also a big football fan. Of course, I planned out a birthday party with a football theme for
her. Talk about a great party! All the kids got involved in a game of touch football and loads of fun along with it.

There just seems to be no end to the ways you can celebrate the fun of football. Whether you love the game yourself or are preparing a party for some one who does, football serving dishes are a great way to make the look of the party more fun.

Christmas Ornaments for Denver Broncos Fans

OK, let's be honest. Can we ever have too much support for our favorite football team? Not in my opinion. So Denver Broncos fans can certainly have some fun with Christmas tree ornaments just to show off their favorite team.

Denver Broncos Christmas Ornaments

I did have some fun updating my article on the Denver Broncos Christmas Ornaments. I found some of the cutest decorations for the tree. Of course, the good ones that are well liked by so many are still there. But new ones have joined the collection.

With my love of Denver, having spent a wonderful part of my life living in that city, I just have to cheer on Payton Manning and the rest of that awesome team. But, I'm not the only one. I still have friends in Denver and I do love to encourage them as fans, too.

Great Gifts for Broncos Fans

With all the Broncos fans that I know and care about, it's easy to pick gifts for them. Each year, I give out a few new Christmas ornaments to these friends. OK, I will admit that one couple in particular are even more fanatical than I am about their favorite team.

But that just makes their Denver Broncos Christmas ornaments more special. Their tree is loaded with the blue and orange. It's so much fun to visit them and see all the ornaments I've given them with places of honor on the tree.

So whether you are giving the gift to yourself, or someone else, a Denver Broncos Christmas Ornament works great. We have to keep up that support.

Will the 12th Man Win Again with the Seattle Seahawks?

The Seattle Seahawks definitely have a home field advantage with their 12th Man. The fans can fully create havoc for the visiting team by the level of noise they make. Now, will that make a difference enough to help Seattle win again?

Super Bowl XLVIII Champions

Yes, Seattle is the reigning Super Bowl Champion for 2014. They did it in February with a rousing victory over the Denver Broncos and quarterback Peyton Manning. OK, it was even a bit embarrassing for the Broncos, but that's a different story and this is a different season.

The issue always becomes how hard it is for the Super Bowl champs to duplicate. There's a very good reason for that. Every team they play ramps up extra hard just to beat those champs. It's hard for any team, including a champion team, to have to fight that hard every single game.

This is the first Christmas that Seattle Seahawks fans can hang Super Bowl Champion ornaments on their trees. So the race is on to get them before they sell out. This is actually the first time ever. Seattle won their first championship in franchise history.

Will the 12th Man Do it Again?

The 12th Man, meaning the fans that attend the home games, are certainly going to try to give their full support this year. And why wouldn't they? Every fan of every team wants to see their favorite team go on to win the Super Bowl this season.

Every fan wants to show how much they support their own team. I just can't imagine that the 12th Man factor won't be another big support for the Seahawks. Every fan, whether a formal part of the 12th Man or a couch version of it, can enjoy some team support with Christmas tree ornaments. It's time to get thinking of Christmas decorations, too.

Fall and Football Season: Show Your Support

With Fall comes that great time of year when the National Football League gets going. The start of the season is always a time to feel energized about your own team. No matter what they did last year, this is a new year, a new season and a new hope.

My yard shows my support of my favorite team with a garden flag and other outdoor stuff. Frankly, I love the idea of showing my neighbors, and anybody who happens to go by, that I'm a football fan.

Every team in the NFL has their own garden flags. You can choose your favorite team garden flag to display in your own yard. But, if you're a fan of Kansas City and the great Chiefs, check out all their outdoor decor. Maybe it's the Indy Colts that you support. Their outdoor decorations are grouped here. Possibly it's the 49ers from San Francisco that you cheer. No problem there. Plenty of great outdoor stuff is ready for you to browse.

As a true football fan, I'm watching games on Thursday night, all day Sunday, then again on Monday night. Yes, I do have one team that I love best, but I also enjoy following lots of other teams. So, one game a week just isn't enough. I need to satisfy my football passion with multiple games. After all, the season is short. I want to see all the games I can.

And I want to show my support of my favorite team in every way that I can. No matter what team you support, show your support with some outdoor decor. Football season doesn't last too long. Maybe this year, your team will be the Super Bowl winner. At the least, the start of the season is a time for hope.

Football Birthday Parties for Kids

A football fan is wanting to use that theme for his birthday party. So what does a parent do? I got the desperate call from my sister. Her son wants to have a football party for his 10th birthday this year. Can I help her plan this?

The answer was, of course, yes! Young kids of this age are active and energetic. Football activities make great party games to use up some of that energy. No, this doesn't mean you have to find a football game to take all the kids to. It just means that you need to work with the decorations, party supplies, menu items and games in a football theme.

The birthday cake for my young nephew was a full sheet cake decorated to look like the field. Green icing spread over the whole thing, with white icing as the yard markers. The menu included a cheese ball made into a football shape. Chips and snacks were served in football-shaped bowls. And a serving tray that looked just like a referee's jersey held all the beverages. That part was simple.

We choose party invitations that were fully football designed. We even made use of the elements in the invitations for decorating ideas. Miniature football players were set around the buffet table. And my nephew's favorite team jerseys were hung as a backdrop to the party table.

Even the party favors were all about football. The bags had football stickers on them, included football shaped chocolate candy, and Nerf-style mini balls were added. Twice during the party, all the kids were sent outside to play a game of tag-football.

The party was hit with all the guests. Best of all, it was a hit with my nephew. His final words to his mother as she tucked him into bed that night were, "This was the best party ever!" You can't wish for more.

After the Super Bowl: Still Football Fun

The Super Bowl is now in the history books. Number 48 went down as a boring game unless you are a Seattle Seahawks fan, that is. Yes, a great win for the Seahawks, but not a great game for us fans to watch.

So the off-season is now upon us. What are we to do without our weekly dose of football games? The great fun of cheering on our favorite team, or teams in many cases, is over for 7 months. Pre-season doesn't start until August.

Never fear. There are football things to do. The shuffling coach watch is on. The college draft is upcoming. And let us not forget the fun of the replay.

The NFL Network is busy showing reruns of great plays, great games, the best and the worst. Along with the most hilarious, the most dangerous, etc. From the 2013-2014 season there are hundreds of thousands of plays that can be grouped just right and just for some great highlight reels.

At Football Fan Passion, we are already busy planning out the teams to feature, the new gear to show off and football stuff to bring into your home or give as gifts. And there are plenty of great new items to get us started for the 2014-15 season!

Maybe you are ready for a football fan cave! No, we aren't talking a "man" cave. There are plenty of women football fans. So we're talking about a place designed just to cheer on your favorite team with plenty of that team's special goodies. Goodies that are required if your team will be the winner this season. Remember it's only crazy if it doesn't work!

So lament not about the off-season. Super Bowl 48 is over and the celebrations are over. Now, let's have some fun planning for Super Bowl 49! Well, actually the whole season that leads to it anyway.
